NOTE:
1. Before you perform these labs, Make sure that you have installed VPC in your PC.
2. Make sure that you already have concept of DNS and Active Directory. i.e. you have installed AD and DNS in your server.
3. Make sure that you have an extra Windows 2003 server installed named as Windows Server 2003 B with two ethernet cards installed into it in order to perform these labs.
Implementing RIP with Windows
Exercise 1 – Enabling a RIP router
- At Windows Server 2003 B: Open the RRAS tool and right click the server and choose configure and enable routing and RAS
- Click <next>
- Choose custom configuration and click <next>
- Choose LAN Routing and click <next>
- Click <finish>
- Click <yes>
- Click the general folder and right click and choose New Routing Protocol
- Choose RIP.
- Click <OK>
- Right click RIP and choose new interface.
- Choose private and click <OK>
- Click <OK> to the RIP properties dialog.
- Right click RIIP again, and choose new interface
- Click <OK> to public.
- Click <OK> again.
Exercise 2 – Cleanup
- From RRAS tool, right click your server and choose disable routing and RAS. Click <yes>
